Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a technique that involves deep, sensitive touch which locates blocks in the cerebral spinal fluid that surround the central nervous system. Dr. Lomonaco applies gentle manipulation to the bones and membranes which eases restrictions allows all systems to flow more freely.

This treatment is good for many conditions including migraines, headaches, TMJ, chronic and acute pain, arthritis, memory loss, spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, ear infections and depression.

Craniosacral Therapy for infants and children is done by light touch therapy with the hands to address restrictions in the membranes that surround the brain and spinal chord.  Imbalances or restrictions in the cranial sacral system negatively impacts the nervous system and can create a variety of disturbances in the body.  CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle way to correct those restrictions so the body can release the effects of stress naturally and heal itself.

Even the most natural of births is stressful for the skull and spine of the baby being born.  Research strongly suggests that the birth process is responsible for many brain dysfunctions and problems caused by central nervous system imbalances.  Because CranioSacral Therapy is so gently, it can be performed at birth or within the first few days of life to potentially reduce a wide variety of newborn and childhood problems, many of which are not apparent until your child is of school age.  Problems of head shape, small fontenelles and skull bone override can also be corrected with the application of CranioSacral Therapy.
